Chef matt Geiger

Founder/ Executive Chef

Chef Matt started washing dishes at 14 in a small Italian restaurant in Sandpoint, Idaho, and built his entire career in real kitchens instead of a classroom. Today he's the chef and owner behind Savour First Choice Catering, one of Southwest Florida's most recognized wedding and event caterers.

Founded in 2019, Savour now handles roughly 100 weddings a year and 200-plus events across Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Naples, and beyond — from intimate dinners to 300-guest galas — all on custom menus and a reputation built by word of mouth. The work has earned multiple WeddingWire Couples' Choice Awards and The Knot Best of Weddings.

Matt's promise on every event is simple: great food, great service, and no stress left on the client. As an owner-operator, he's hands-on in the kitchen and on-site, start to finish. That same standard carries through his other ventures, Savour Coffee and Savour Restaurant — but catering remains the heart of it all.

Mitchy Dean

Office Manager

Mitchy has been part of Savour First Choice Catering since 2020. She started on the floor as a server, then began making client follow-up calls — and quickly proved she had a gift for it. Today she's our office manager, handling incoming leads, proposals, and billing, and serving as the first friendly voice most clients hear.

If you call us, chances are it's Mitchy you'll talk to. She's a natural with people — bubbly, warm, and genuinely good at making everyone she speaks with feel taken care of. She also vets the steady stream of sales pitches and requests that come Chef Matt's way, making sure his time stays focused where it's needed across the Savour businesses.

Originally from Arizona, Mitchy leaves a mark on just about everyone who talks to her — and she's usually the reason a first call turns into a booked event.

Lucy Moreira

Logistics/payroll/equipment manager/ Onsite Lead

Lucy has been with Savour First Choice Catering since 2019, making her one of our true veterans. She started as a staff member and steadily took on more as the company grew — earning every bit of responsibility she carries today.

Now she runs logistics, equipment, and payroll, and serves as an on-site lead and trainer. When our team is out in the field, Lucy is the one keeping it all moving and showing newer staff how it's done. She's a solid manager who leads with genuine care — the kind of person who looks out for her crew and makes the whole operation run smoother because of it.

Off the clock, you'll find her at the beach. On the clock, she's one of the people who makes a Savour event happen exactly the way it should.
